Hospital Staff
Dr. Lou DelGiudice, our Chief of Staff, has just completed an emergency/critical care residency at the Animal Emergency Referral Center in Torrence, CA. Dr. DelGuidice's specialized training brings a greater level of intensive care medicine to our area. During the three years of his residency, Dr. DelGiudice and one other doctor shared the surgical load of a referral practice that is almost as busy as we are (400 cases per week). He became very proficient as a surgeon. Dr. DelGiudice worked as emergency clinician and general practitioner at Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital, Pocono Veterinary Emergency Center and East Stroudsburg Veterinary Hospital. He received his veterinary medicine degree from Purdue University in May of 2002.
Because of Dr. DelGuidice’s residency training, he will round out the care given to our surgical patients by helping us to give around-the-clock surgical coverage and by providing an advanced level of pre and post operative care that includes video endoscopy, ultrasound, and echo-cardiography with in-house interpretation.
